Overview
This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Full Time and Fixed Term Part Time appointments for 6-12 months with the possibility of extension(s). Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/10/2026.
Position Profile
Assessment Liaison Escalation Response Team (ALERT) is a dedicated multidisciplinary team with both a proactive and reactive role in the hospital. This position forms an essential component of a rapidly evolving new team focusing particularly on the 24/7 recognition and prevention of clinical deterioration of patients within Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospitals Group (FSFHG). The team is led by consultants with expertise in emergency and general medicine and intensive care, with senior registrars recruited for their experience in intensive and critical care medicine, supported by a dedicated team of resident medical officers working alongside senior critical care nurses. Teaching and training time is quarantined to ensure the continuing development of all team members.
ALERT is recognised by CICM and can be accredited towards CICM training for ICU trainees.

Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplants and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital (FH) is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
