About the Role
Hired Labour is pleased to be partnering with Blenners Transport in the recruitment of this key role.
Hired Labour is seeking a Trade Qualified Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic – working 10am to 8pm Monday to Friday each week to join the Blenners Transport workshop team at the Brisbane (Darra) depot. This hands-on role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
* Maintain and repair suspension, steering, and braking systems
* Perform welding, fabrication, and HVAC system repairs
* Use diagnostic instruments and workshop equipment
* Mentor apprentices and participate in training sessions
* Ensure compliance with WHS, CoR, and internal policies
* Maintain accurate documentation and a clean workshop environment
Role Requirements
* Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
* Experience working in Road Transport highly regarded
* Knowledge of (Kenworth & Isuzu Trucks, and Cummins Power Plants), (BPW, Meritor and Hendrickson Suspension Systems), Eaton Driveline Components, (ThermoKing & Carrier Fridge Units), and truck air conditioner repairs & servicing.
* Manual Driver’s Licence (HR/HC/MC highly regarded)
* Forklift Licence (LF) highly regarded
* Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset
* Physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
