HEALTH AND SAFETY CO-ORDINATOR

Taree, New South Wales

* Permanent, full-time role

Jamestrong Packaging is a leading packaging supplier to some of the region's most recognisable brands. We supply innovative metal packaging solutions and are the largest supplier of aerosol cans and food cans in Australasia. We take pride in our commitment to the health and safety of all our stakeholders.

We currently have a position for an HSE Co-ordinator as part of our People & Safety team within the manufacturing plant located at Taree, NSW.

Duties of the role include the following:

· Support the development, implementation and maintenance of site HSEQ systems, policies and compliance requirements.

· Work closely with the HSE Advisor NSW, site leadership and People team to support ISO certifications, audits, improvement plans and the Drug & Alcohol program.

· Co-ordinate and deliver HSE inductions, training, toolbox talks and safety communications, maintaining accurate training and license records.

· Support risk management activities, including risk registers, JSAs, SWMS, contractor management and change management processes.

· Assist with incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and ongoing compliance using the site HSE reporting system.

· Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards and promote safe work practices across the manufacturing site.

· Actively promote a strong safety culture aligned with Jamestrong's purpose of "Protecting what matters".

Desired work experience and qualifications:

· Previous experience in an HSE role within a manufacturing, industrial or FMCG environment.

· Hands-on experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, inspections and HSE systems.

· Experience delivering HSE training, inductions and toolbox talks.

· Knowledge of relevant HSE legislation and codes of practice.

· Strong administration, reporting and stakeholder engagement skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine belief in providing excellent customer service, is highly motivated with a "can do" attitude.
