At UniSQ, Australia's leading regional University, we're committed to innovation, excellence and providing an exceptional experience for our students and staff. Our Information, Technology and Digital Systems (ITDS) team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, proactive services to ensure a seamless IT experience across all UniSQ campuses.
UniSQ is strengthening how it develops, maintains and evolves its enterprise applications and bespoke systems. We are seeking an experienced IT professional to lead the Enterprise Solutions function, supporting key university areas including Research, Teaching and Learning, and Corporate Services.
Who you are
The Platform Lead (Enterprise Solutions) is responsible for the strategic and operational management of UniSQ's enterprise development and application platform. The role oversees the full software development lifecycle, ensuring systems are reliable, secure and aligned with university needs. You will lead a team of analysts, developers and data specialists, coordinate upgrades and integrations, and maintain clear processes for governance and change management.
Building on this foundation, you are also an experienced software development and CRM practitioner with a practical, grounded approach to system management. What you'll do
The Platform Lead (Enterprise Solutions) will be the central point of coordination for UniSQ's Enterprise Solutions environments, including bespoke applications, CRM and system enhancements. Reporting to the Director (IT Operations), you will support a combined team of analysts, developers and data specialists, who manage the Learning, Teaching and Middleware environments for UniSQ. You will also set priorities, manage upgrades and integrations, and ensure the system continues to meet the University's operational and strategic requirements.
* Lead the management and direction of UniSQ's enterprise solutions platform and bespoke system environment.
* Coordinate a multidisciplinary team of analysts, developers and data specialists.
* Oversee end-to-end platform operations including upgrades, integrations, performance, security and enhancements.
* Act as the main point of contact for enterprise systems support, development and operational matters.
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand requirements and plan system improvements.
* Support structured governance, change management and roadmap planning.
* Strengthen communication and alignment between ITDS and business areas regarding system development priorities.
* Promote continuous improvement by reviewing and updating processes and practices.
What will help you succeed
Together with your relevant qualification, you will have extensive industry experience in managing a bespoke software development environment within a large organisation and have proven experience in leading effective, motivated teams. You will also have:
* Experience managing large-scale enterprise systems or application platforms in a complex organisation.
* Background working with developers, analysts and application specialists, ideally within a higher education context.
* Strong skills in system design, development practices and integration methods.
* Experience leading technical/professional staff and coordinating varied workloads.
* Good judgement, analytical ability and communication skills.
* Ability to work across multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality outcomes.
* Alignment with UniSQ's values of Respect, Integrity and Excellence.
