Financial Expertise Job Description:
As a seasoned financial professional, you will serve as a trusted business partner to functional teams providing strategic support and delivering actionable financial insights that drive operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing business partnering services by offering strategic decision-making support to functional leads, their teams, and other stakeholders.
* Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on expenditure including departmental cost pools direct costs and allocations.
* Preparing annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for functional teams.
* Contributing to half-year and year-end reporting requirements including preparing subsidiary financial statements and assisting with audit queries.
* Executing month-end accounting tasks such as journal preparation as required account reconciliations reviewing results and completing integrity checks prior to ledger close.
* Delivering ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
* Supporting projects aimed at enhancing decision-making processes and systems.
* Ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in business partnering.
* Strong background in management accounting financial reporting or audit.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experience working within oil and gas or mining industries.
* Familiarity with SAP and Jedox systems.
* A tertiary degree in Accounting Commerce Business Management Economics Finance or a related field.
* CA CPA certification or equivalent professional qualification.
