This role offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in need. As a Therapeutic Foster Care Practitioner, you will be working with children and youth who have experienced trauma and are in statutory care.
Your key responsibilities will include implementing intensive and time-limited care plans, creating safe and nurturing environments, and developing positive relationships with the young people in your care.
You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care, ensuring the highest standard of child safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines to ensure the highest standard of care and child safety.
* Serve as a positive role model, supporting young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits while fostering independence.
* Create a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.
* Work collaboratively within a dedicated team to deliver high-quality therapeutic care.
Requirements
* A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or higher level qualification in Social Work/Youth Work is essential.
* You must also hold a valid driver's license, as transport of young people may be required.
* Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to learn new skills are highly valued in this role.
