The Role
This is a key role where you will produce, occasionally present programs for ABC Sunshine Coast and create content for multiple platforms to engage local and national audiences.
The Job
* Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests.
* Create content across a number of platforms including digital, video, social media, scripts, interviews and radio programs
* Identify and deliver original regional stories to a local and national audience
* Develop strong contacts and break stories
* Contribute to the implementation of the Local Emergency Coverage plan and communicate with relevant stakeholders as required.
* Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.
* This role includes shift work.

About You
To be a success in this role you will have strong program making and presentation skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for the target audience.
You'll have:
* You have a thorough understanding of cross-platform content production
* You're savvy with social media and online content and know how to engage a diverse demographic
* You have a track record of producing and/or presenting high quality contemporary radio
* You're passionate about local current affairs, social issues, business, technology and culture
* You have a sound knowledge of the region, as well as national and international issues
