The Commercial discipline is responsible for driving business growth, managing partnerships, and providing industry expertise and advisory to both clients and internal teams. This strategic team builds meaningful client relationships through their knowledge of IT services, industry trends, and pain points. Members include business development staff, client partners, alliances and partnerships managers, industry advisors, and operational leads.
As a Principal Technical Industry Advisory Consultant (Insurance) at Endava, you will have at least 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of technology, stakeholder management, presales, sales presentations, and post-sales.
You will play a key role in business-level conversations during pre-sales efforts and lead engagements focused on delivering solutions to clients, leveraging your architecture experience within the insurance industry to assess organizational capabilities and readiness for change.
Responsibilities :
1. Work alongside Endava and Client Enterprise & Solution Architects to analyze, define, and refine architecture outputs.
2. Understand and translate customer business goals, defining future-state technology and architecture roadmaps and proposals.
3. Shape project scope, requirements, and technical approach.
4. Proactively review customer solutions, proposing improvements aligned with client goals.
5. Collaborate with sales management to shape and pitch strategic engagements.
6. Build relationships with key stakeholders on client engagements.
Minimum Requirements :
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
2. Minimum of 10 years of insurance industry expertise.
3. Strong team player with a collaborative attitude, capable of playing a central role in industry activities.
4. Experience aligning technology strategy with business strategy and developing architectures in large corporate environments.
5. Practical architecture experience in the insurance industry, including capability mapping, application architectures, and architectural principles.
6. Experience working with architecture and agile teams, centers of excellence, infrastructure, and cross-functional operations.
7. Ability to work with sales and account teams to shape responses to stakeholder needs.
8. Proven ability to become a trusted advisor to senior technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.
9. Good understanding of agile delivery models.
10. Excellent soft skills, especially in client and stakeholder expectation management.
11. Fluent in English, with strong written and spoken communication skills.
12. Commercial acumen for presenting strong business cases for change.
13. Ownership mindset and ability to work across functions for optimal client outcomes.
14. Experience in areas such as London markets, personal lines, commercial lines, brokerage, and reinsurance.
15. Knowledge of architecture domains (security, data, infrastructure), frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman), and modern practices (microservices, API-led, Cloud). Hands-on recent experience is a plus.
16. Experience with modern software practices like DevOps and cloud computing.
17. Preferred Skills :
18. Programming experience (Java, .Net, Python) is desirable.
19. Experience with insurance platforms (Guidewire, Duck Creek, ISC) is desirable.

Pay Transparency :
The estimated salary range for this role is $200,000 to $260,000 USD annually, subject to variation based on location, qualifications, and company policies.
