The CEO is a sought-after speaker on the intersection of AI and search, and the business is entering its most exciting stage of growth to date.
With a globally distributed team of 100+ people and a strong pipeline of enterprise clients, WLDM is now seeking a strategic, disciplined, execution-focused COO to partner closely with the CEO and lead the business into its next chapter.
The Opportunity
The COO will take full ownership of operations, finance, people leadership, delivery, and execution, enabling the CEO to step fully into vision, partnerships, and industry leadership.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, founder-led, high-growth environment, and who can bring structure, clarity, accountability, and scale-ready systems to a dynamic and evolving company.
You must be located in the Byron Bay / Northern Rivers area and available for multiple weekly meetings to be eligible for this role.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
Translate the CEO's vision into clear operational plans and deliverables.
Oversee day-to-day business operations, ensuring seamless execution across all departments.
Strengthen client delivery, quality control, and operational performance across the agency.
Finance & Commercial Oversight
Lead financial operations including forecasting, budgeting, cashflow oversight, and reporting.
Oversee bookkeeping, finance staff, and compliance.
Build commercial discipline around margins, resourcing, and profitability.
Lead, coach, and support a globally distributed team in partnership with HR.
Build a culture of accountability, clarity, communication, and high performance.
Establish rhythms for reporting, metrics, KPIs, and cross-team alignment.
Systems, Automation & Process Improvement
Improve and scale internal systems (using tools such as Click Up & Airtable).
Drive automation, efficiency gains, and scalable processes.
Oversee technology and data science workflows (advantageous if familiar with Python or technical environments).
Growth Enablement & Cross-Functional Oversight
Oversee sales processes, onboarding, and cross-functional funnels.
Support marketing, partnerships, and business development initiatives.
Ensure operational readiness for rapid growth and global expansion.
About You
2+ years running operations for a 7–8 figure business (agency experience ideal).
Strong financial literacy and hands-on experience with Xero.
Proven success leading distributed teams in a high-growth environment.
Experience working in partnership with a visionary founder/CEO.
Strong people leadership, project management, and delivery discipline.
Process-driven mindset with an eye for automation and scale.
Comfortable in fast-moving, dynamic environments.
