Seeking an experienced project officer to assist a large department in Leederville
**Your new company**
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Officer to join a State Government department in Leederville. This role is for an immediate start, on an initial 6-month temporary contract.
**Your new role**
- Undertake administrative activities to support the branch, including managing the calendar of the Executive Director
- Maintain and use systems and information to assist with the program and project administration.
- Assist team members with operational activities e.g. arranging workshops, meetings, stakeholder engagement etc.
- Support governance activities with agenda development, minutes and TRIM coordination and upload.
- Support purchase order creation and management.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Undertake research, analysis, investigation and evaluation of issues and problems and provide recommendations to support the reform program.
- Respond professionally to client information requirements / requests.
- Prepare or contribute to the preparation of reports, publications, briefing notes, submissions, policies and procedures
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Considerable experience undertaking research, analysis & investigation
- Proven experience with government policy & procedure
- Experience in providing secretarial and administrative support to Executives
- Previous project officer experience
- Previous government experience is desirable
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Planner)
- A current police clearance, dated within the past 3 months (or willing to obtain)
