Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our restaurant, leading service delivery, and mentoring a high-performing team to create exceptional dining experiences.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Supervise the restaurant during service, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Support and guide team members during shifts, promoting excellent service and grooming standards
- Conduct daily tasks such as setting tables, cleaning, opening/closing the restaurant, and preparing drinks and service areas
- Assist with staff rostering, filling shifts, and adjusting schedules as needed
- Manage stock and supplies, including ordering, stock counts, and resolving any issues
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest queries and reporting serious problems to management
- Train new staff and support existing team members to improve skills and service levels
- Lead pre-shift meetings to prepare and motivate the team before service
- Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all team members
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a team leader or senior Food & Beverage service role, preferably within a hotel or upscale restaurant environment
- Strong leadership, coaching, and delegation skills, with a hands-on approach to service delivery
- Proven ability to maintain high service standards in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
- Sound knowledge of stock and inventory management processes
- Solid understanding of workplace health & safety procedures and compliance
- Professional personal presentation and reliability
