Asset Mechanic
About the role:
Your primary role will be to maximise engine availability and landfill gas combustion across multiple sites.
The role requires hands-on involvement in the day-to-day operations and maintenance of LGI's landfill gas-to-energy and flaring assets. The role will also assist in the delivery of new power station installations and extensions to existing assets.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out daily operation, maintenance (planned & unplanned), and troubleshooting of engines, flares, and related plant or equipment.
* Record and analyse daily readings and data for all assets.
* Adhere to LGI's scheduled servicing and maintenance plans for engines, flares, and associated systems.
* Keep all asset facilities clean and well-maintained.
* Respond promptly to call-outs when on rostered duty.
* Commit to LGI's safety and environmental policies and actively ensure an incident-free workplace.
You should possess:
* Trade qualifications as a Fitter/Mechanic, Light Vehicle Mechanic
* Experience with Jenbacher, Caterpillar, MWM, or Waukesha gas engines is favourable but not essential
* Experience with interpreting electrical schematic drawings
* Able to work with minimal supervision
* Able to travel to various sites as required
* Valid Australian driver's license
