The Food & Pharmaceutical Division operates a modern laboratory at Rydalmere, Sydney that is equipped with the latest in analytical technology. The division is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to become a part of the Chemistry team that strives to exceed customer expectations by delivering quality results on time and by maintaining strong relationships with their clients. This is a full-time role with the hours to be discussed with the successful candidate.
The Day to Day
- Performing routine chemical analysis, such as gravimetric analysis, titrations and sample extractions for instrumental procedures.
- Operation of instrumentation such as ICPMS and ICPOES.
- Ensure analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with ALS Quality Systems.
- Following structured workflows to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Contributing to a safe, efficient, and high-performing laboratory environment.
The Essentials
- A qualification in Chemistry or a related discipline (degree, Cert IV, or Diploma).
- Experience working with analytical instruments.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities.
- Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet production needs.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- High standards when it comes to data quality, lab safety, and client service.
