About VIDA Health
VIDA Health (Victorian Health Building Authority) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VIDA Health also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity
This role provides high-impact, outcomes-focused legal advice to support the procurement and delivery of VIDA Health's infrastructure projects. Collaborating across VIDA Health's infrastructure legal team, you will work across the full project lifecycle, tackling a wide range of legal matters and helping shape practical, best-for-project solutions. Beyond transactions, you will advise on matters of construction law, statutory compliance, performance issues, claims, and disputes, including during the development and operational phases.
Your work will directly support the development and delivery of Victoria's critical health infrastructure pipeline, creating lasting benefits for Victorian communities.
Key aspects of the role include:
* Draft, review and help negotiate legal documentation for the procurement, development and delivery of VIDA Health's projects, including contracts, notices and governance documents.
* Provide strategic legal advice that supports decision-making and advances the Victorian Government's commercial and policy objectives.
* Support internal teams, by providing clear legal guidance on contract preparation and the administration of goods, services and construction procurements.
* Build trusted relationships with internal and other stakeholders.
We are looking for:
* Proven experience providing legal advice on complex construction and infrastructure projects for both government and private sector clients.
* Ability to identify legal risks, consider effective mitigation strategies, and deliver practical, compliant and timely advice through critical analysis and problem-solving.
* Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver results and guide others through complex or difficult situations.
* Must hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate under the Legal Profession Uniform Law (Victoria).
