Job Title: Person-Centred Occupational Therapist
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team at Vision Australia. As a person-centred Occupational Therapist, you will be supporting people of all ages within a transdisciplinary team with the aim to enhance the lives of our clients to live life in their terms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both individual and group OT training/intervention programs for clients of all ages.
- Showcase your ability to deliver and evaluate clients through various interactive and digital assessments, assessing and training them in the use of assistive devices and equipment to do everyday activities, such as cooking, cleaning, showering etc.
- Provide/advise on low-vision techniques and strategies to improve their occupational performance on daily activities and improve quality of life.
Requirements:
- Hold a nationally recognised Qualification in Occupational Therapy and a current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Knowledge and skills in working with children, adults, and older adults, including being a team player who is passionate in supporting people to live life on their terms and build on their independence.
- Enthusiastic to provide exceptional client services to people of all ages that are blind or low vision, being proactive and showing creativity is strongly encouraged.
