Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Midwifery Educator to provide expert education programs for midwives and nurses in a maternity unit.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide sound clinical and education advice to support staff in their daily work.
• Develop and implement education programs that meet the needs of midwives and nurses.
• Foster effective communication skills to maximise productive working relationships.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same.
• Highly developed clinical knowledge and experience in nursing/midwifery.
• Education/training or experience in developing and delivering education theory and practice.
• Ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education and professional development.
• Effective communication skills to maximise productive working relationships.
Selection Criteria:
The successful candidate will have:
1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia or eligibility for same.
2. Demonstrated highly developed clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in a relevant area of nursing/midwifery.
3. Demonstrated education/training or experience in the development and/or delivery of education theory and practice.
4. Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education and professional development for the specialist practice area.
5. Demonstrates well-developed knowledge and understanding of the social and cultural issues, influences and sensitivities that influence healthcare provision for individuals and groups.
