An excellent opportunity is available for an Executive Assistant to join the Snow Centre for Immune Health at Australia's pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the position
The Snow Centre for Immune Health has a global mission to improve the lives of people with immune diseases, using a new approach to immune health. The centre, co-led by WEHI and the Royal Melbourne Hospital, will bring together leading Australian and international researchers with a shared mission to transform how we research and treat the immune system. Our goal is to accelerate discoveries into the underlying features and markers of immune health, to identify disease causes early and target appropriate treatment. The centre has been established in partnership with the Snow Medical Research Foundation.
WEHI is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to ensure the centre operates effectively and achieves its strategic objectives. The appointee will provide high-level executive administrative support to the centre's Director. This position acts as a liaison between the centre, professional service areas of the institute, consumer teams and supporters and requires regular interaction with all institute departments and key external organisations.

Personal qualities
* Proven aptitude for communicating effectively with a variety of audiences; excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to draft high-quality documentation and correspondence.
* Strong organisational and planning capabilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion and sound judgement.
* High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Consistent demonstration of initiative; able to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
Knowledge and skills
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality, responsive supports to senior executives and committees.
* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams), Nitro, Zoom. Aptitude in Apple Mac environment is preferable.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment.
* A knowledge of medical research institutes or academic environment is desirable.
Terms of Appointment
This position is available for 2 years in a full time capacity. Salary is Research Support Employee Level 6 ($95,135 - $102,979). Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
