Who You'll Work With
Role
The Solution Test group ensures the quality of Arista’s products through system testing of large, complex, and feature-rich environments, emulating key customer networks by:
Researching technologies, features, and customer environments to develop appropriate topologies for testing.
Performing extensive feature interaction testing to identify potential issues.
Conducting exhaustive testing focused on realistic use cases, scale, and performance.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with stakeholders from development, sales, and other test teams to understand requirements.
Design and expand network topologies for testing purposes.
Configure hardware, features, traffic generators, and other tools to emulate environments.
Execute comprehensive test plans, focusing on performance, scale, and identifying weaknesses.
Troubleshoot failures and performance issues, working with the development team for root cause analysis and fixes.
Present results and provide feedback for design and performance improvements.
Engage with sales teams and customers for inquiries, ad-hoc requests, and demonstrations.
Collaborate with peers to learn new technologies and enhance team effectiveness.
Assist TAC team with escalation reproductions when necessary.
Qualifications
Master's degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, or computer networking.
Over 3 years of experience in system or solution testing of complex environments.
Deep knowledge of layer 2 and 3 technologies such as IP forwarding, BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, and others.
Experience with layer 2/3 switch administration, including CLI and SNMP.
Familiarity with Linux tools like ping, tcpdump, iperf, etc.
Basic scripting skills in Python or TCL.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong motivation to improve quality and eagerness to learn new technologies.
Ability to work independently with a high level of initiative.
