We are now looking to engage a highly motivated Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in our Smile Squad Program.

**About the Role**
Reporting to the Team Coordinator_, _you will work closely with a committed and passionate team. You will be the first point of contact both over the phone and face to face with patients so your presentation and communication will be key to your success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate a friendly, courteous and professional manner at all times
- Charting dental examinations
- Prepare and provide equipment, dental materials and instruments for each patient according to dental treatment needs
- Basic manual handling is required
- Maintain established infection control standards in the clinical setting and throughout the entire dental setting including storage, packaging, collection and disposal of infectious waste/sharps
- Maintain dental equipment, consumables and supplies in the dental setting
- Assist with the reprocessing of reusable medical Devices (RMD);
- Seek guidance from more experienced colleagues and the team coordinator
- Maintain sound understanding of infection control procedures
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of the dental assistant role
- Show compassion for and demonstrate ability to work with members who are disadvantaged
- Assist in the provision of oral health education and promotion
**Your Skills and Experience**:
To be considered for this important role you will ideally possess the following:
- ** Certificate III in Dental Assisting **_(essential)_**:
- Certificate IV in Oral Health Promotion
- good organisational skills and a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards work
- a full understanding of infection control procedures and tracking systems
- thorough and extensive knowledge of dental procedures
- a friendly, outgoing and reliable demeanour
- strong communication and relationship skills
- well-developed clinical and administrative skills
Previous experience with Titanium software would be an advantage but is not mandatory.
