About the role
Provide business partnering, financial modelling and business case support on project investment requests to key stakeholders for the merchandise business unit, reviewing post-implementation benefits to assess project effectiveness and communicating results.
Provide full P&L financial support on commercial merchandise arrangements including online commercial arrangements.
Analyse financial data and results to educate the merchandise business on levers of success and opportunities to improve profitability to inform strategic decision-making.
Assist in ad-hoc projects and analysis and support value-add projects on day-to-day duties and processes.
Deliver merchandise performance reporting, metrics submissions and commentary for the Board & EGM, as required.
Manage and collaborate with key stakeholders to build detailed budgets and forecasts for the merchandise business, as required.
Undertake presentation of monthly results and forecasts to key stakeholders, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
About you
5+ years' experience in a commercial or business-partnering role.
CA or CPA qualified or similar qualification, with previous experience in a Commercial Finance environment.
Previous experience in Retail, FMCG, eCommerce, logistics or a similar diversified sector, preferred.
Strong Excel modelling skills with experience working with large data sets.
Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand the business problem being analysed.
A positive approach to challenge and change with the ability to be agile and adaptable.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders.
A proven ability to challenge and influence key business stakeholders and processes to drive the best possible outcome for the organisation.
