Business Development Lead

Our organisation is a leading insurance business seeking an experienced Telemarketer to fill this vital role.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for generating and securing new business opportunities by identifying and sourcing high quality leads for various teams.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Telemarketing or Lead Generation, preferably within Insurance or Financial Services, with a proven track record of discovering and engaging with new business prospects.


Key Responsibilities

* Pursue New Business Opportunities - Proactively source and qualify potential new business prospects across commercial and personal insurance, as well as financial services.
* Establish Relationships - Develop strong working relationships with local businesses, community groups, and stakeholders to create lasting lead opportunities and generate referrals.
* Schedule Appointments - Arrange appointments for new business opportunities to be followed up by the Commercial sales team.
* CRM & Data Management - Accurately record and monitor lead activity within internal CRM systems, ensuring all interactions are logged and followed up in a timely and professional manner.
* Cross-Selling - Identify opportunities to cross-sell or refer clients to other areas of the business, including insurance, financial services, risk management, and health & safety consultancy, passing qualified leads to the relevant specialists.


Requirements

* Understanding of general Insurance and/or Financial Services Industries.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Confidence in approaching and speaking with new people.
* Energetic, self-motivated, and proactive mindset.
* Experience with CRM systems or lead-tracking tools.
* Strong attention to detail in logging and qualifying leads.
