Overview:
* This role is responsible for delivering high-quality planning outcomes that reflect the values and expectations of our community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess development applications and prepare accurate, complete reports in accordance with legislative and policy requirements
* Provide expert advice to stakeholders on development assessment procedures and relevant planning legislation
* Investigate complaints and prepare responses and reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Building Surveying or a related discipline
* Experience in statutory planning, development control, and environmental assessment
* Comprehensive understanding of development assessment procedures and relevant planning legislation
* Current Class C Drivers Licence
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
