This is a full-time on-site role for a PhD student with full scholarship from Good Shepherd at RMIT University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia. The PhD opportunity involves conducting advanced research on AI-driven resiliance and risk management analysing finnacial behavious and resource allocation, compiling and analysing data, writing research papers, and collaborating with academic and industry partners. Successful candidates will work closely with supervisors Associate Professor Tarek Rana and Dr Say Yen Teoh, participate in seminars and conferences, and contribute to the academic environment of RMIT.

Key Research Objectives
-To explore how AI and advanced data analytics can be used to detect financial stress patterns and inform community-based resilience strategies.
-To design and evaluate an AI-enabled framework for inclusive financial decision-making and risk mitigation at the household and community level.
-To work closely with Good Shepherd to ensure research outcomes are aligned with community values, ethical principles, and practical applications.

Qualifications
* Honours or Master by Research degree in a related field
* Advanced knowledge in the relevant field of study (Accounting, Businesss, AI, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science)
* Strong research and analytical skills, with the skills in AI, business analytics and ability to compile and analyse data
* Excellent writing and communication skills, particularly in professional environment
* Experience in collaborating with academic and industry partners
* Ability to work full-time on-site in Melbourne Campus at RMIT University
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
