The Opportunity

The Learning Experience Designer (Assessment) supports the

design, development, and delivery of authentic and technology-enhanced assessments

across Monash College's Pathways programs.

Working as part of the Digital Learning and Design team, this position contributes to the

implementation of high-quality assessment practices, bringing a technical or STEM-focused

specialisation to the development of innovative, data-driven, or digital assessment tasks.

Key Responsibilities

* Design, adapt, and enhance assessments and related learning materials in collaboration with academic and learning design teams.
* Apply learning experience design (LxD) principles to support development of

engaging, scaffolded, and authentic learning experiences across different delivery

modes.

* Contribute technical expertise—for example, in STEM, data analysis, computing, or applied digital learning—to strengthen assessment design across programs.
* Contribute to the creation of assessment frameworks, rubrics, templates, and exemplars that promote quality and consistency.
* Collaborate with colleagues to trial and evaluate new tools, methods, or technologies

that enhance learning and assessment.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

* Experience supporting or developing technology-enhanced learning or assessment

materials.

* Familiarity with digital learning tools and assessment platforms (e.g., Moodle,

Turnitin, or online testing tools).

* Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Design, Educational Technology,

Instructional Design, or a relevant discipline such as STEM, Computing, or Business

Analytics.
