Purpose of the Position
Based in our Karratha office this role will involve driving the delivery of Culvert project for the Rio Tinto Civil and Rail contract.
About you
You will be self-motivated and results-driven, have superior knowledge of RIO Tinto Civil and Rail with strong leadership qualities. You will possess relevant experience in civil construction with reference to projects completed.
A collaborative style of leadership and effective communication both written and oral. Have excellent client interface, coordination, time management and safety leadership.
About the role
* This position is full time, 8 days on, 6 days off roster (Subject to change for specific projects) in our Karratha Offices.
* Residential to Karratha is preferred though FIFO may be considered for the right applicant.
* Travel to remote locations frequently is a requirement.
To be successful for this role, you will have:
* Minimum 2 years' demonstrated experience in civil and construction projects
* Hold valid Section 26 (S26) qualifications (mandatory)
* Proven ability to lead teams to deliver projects safely and within required timeframes
* Ability to interpret and read construction drawings and plans
* Strong understanding of the Pilbara region, including mining and rail industry knowledge
* Sound knowledge of health and safety obligations, with a strong commitment to compliance
* Demonstrated professional judgement and commercial acumen
* Experience across all stages of the project lifecycle
* Proven leadership skills with the ability to foster a proactive, safe, and supportive team culture
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously
Your responsibilities will include:
* Liaise daily with client representatives.
* Participate and be involved with cost control practices.
* Audit and monitor the quality of the team daily reporting.
* Work closely with Superintendents and Manager-Civil and Rail.
* Provide assistance with processes and procedures.
* Coach and mentor Staffs.
* Contribute to team planning meetings.
* Effectively set expectations for behaviors and performance.
