About the Role
We are seeking a
Maintenance Electrician
to join the engineering team at their site near Murarrie. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of plant and equipment through both planned and reactive maintenance.
Working closely with production, planners, and contractors, you will play a key role in minimising downtime, driving efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across plant and control systems
* Support both planned and unplanned maintenance activities to keep equipment running at peak efficiency
* Contribute to root cause analysis and improvement projects to reduce downtime and optimise OEE
* Ensure safe and effective collaboration with production and contractor teams
* Complete handovers, reporting, and maintenance documentation accurately
* Provide technical expertise on electrical and plant issues to internal stakeholders
* Support stock control, cost efficiency, and technical project work as needed
About You
* Qualified Electrician with a current QLD Electrical Licence
* Industrial / FMCG manufacturing experience (food industry highly regarded)
* Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic controls and process systems
* PLC fault finding experience desirable
* Ability to troubleshoot effectively and solve problems under pressure
* Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
* Safety-conscious with a focus on continuous improvement
