Overview
The Business Analyst Risk role will contribute towards ensuring a risk management lens is applied across key outcomes of various Insurance Services related projects.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Technical Claims, with a dotted reporting line into First Line Risk.
The role will perform detailed analysis activities across insurance claims and underwriting requirements, industry best practice, and regulatory/legislative guidelines to ensure solutions aligns with Project deliverables, strengthening risk identification and risk management, with particular focus on delivered risk.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Business Analysis
* Ensure program delivery aligns with strategic objectives and organisational standards.
* Provide business analysis across a range of risk & compliance initiatives to ensure effective implementation and operationalisation
* Develop requirements documents
* Facilitate stakeholder business unit input into key insurance
* Produce analysis in alignment with project deliverables across requirements
* Proactively identify emerging project delivered risks through analysis and report to relevant stakeholders
* Perform mapping across key guidelines, business rules, regulatory and business requirements and support business impact assessments
* Production of presentations, as and when required
* Conduct relevant assurance mapping activities for the project
* Conduct root cause analysis and insights from information and data and generate meaningful conclusions
* Ensure impact of CPS230 process maps are considered
Governance & Risk
* Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
* Support MUFG assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practices
* Monitor and report on compliance with regulatory requirements to Second Line Risk where required.
* Promoting a culture of risk and compliance awareness. Ensuring compliance with all regulations, industry standards and MPMS values.
* Promote a best-practice culture within the business through training, education and compliance awareness.

Experience & Personal Attributes
* A Risk mindset, with a sound knowledge of Superannuation legislation and regulations.
* A proven ability to coordinate and manage competing activities, at one time with the ability to prioritise accordingly.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Risk principles
* 2+ years financial services experience and tertiary qualified.
* 2+ years' experience in Operational risk and/or Compliance or related disciplines.
* Personal commitment to, and visible role modelling of, the organisation's behaviours and values.
* Ability to review and develop strong understanding of complex processes as well as develop recommendations to improve the controls over such processes.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proven ability to engage stakeholders and effectively manage those relationships
* Able to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships
* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to rapidly produce error-free analysis
