My client on the Sunshine Coast is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Service Manager to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position with Monday to Friday hours, offering a great work-life balance with no weekends required. About the role As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service and repair operations for their fleet of caravans and recreational vehicles (RVs). This is based in their Forest Glen, facility. You will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support, while also driving efficiency and continuous improvement across our service department. What you'll be doing Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control Lead, coach, and develop a team of skilled technicians to deliver high-quality repairs and maintenance services Liaise with customers to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely and effective solutions Ensure all service and repair work is completed to the highest standards, in compliance with industry regulations and company policies Oversee the procurement of parts and materials, managing inventory levels to minimize downtime Continuously seek ways to improve efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction within the service department Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the business, providing insights and recommendations based on service-related data and customer feedback What we're looking for Extensive experience (5 years) in a service manager or similar leadership role within the Automotive / Caravan or RV industry Proven track record of successfully managing a team of skilled technicians and delivering high-quality service and repairs Strong technical knowledge of caravan and RV systems, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical components highly regarded but not necessary Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build relationships and resolve complex issues effectively Proficient in inventory management, parts procurement, and budget planning Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and develop a high-performing team What they offer Our client is committed to providing their employees with a rewarding and supportive work environment.
