Position : Clinical Nurse Specialist – Youth Cancer (CNS) at the WA Youth Cancer Service (YCS).
Permanent part-time appointment, 20 hours fortnightly.
About the role
The CNS works with the WA YCS Clinical Nurse Consultant and a multidisciplinary team to provide strategic clinical support, coordinate treatment, and act as the central point of contact for patients, families, and health professionals.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients and families through the health care system and find suitable services
* Act as the central point of contact for patients, families and health care professionals
* Co‑ordinate appointments and facilitate treatment planning
* Provide and explain information on diagnosis, treatment and all aspects of the cancer journey
* Liaise and link with services both within the treating hospital and the wider community
