We know that to make the magic happen our day to day working lives and rewards for our efforts need to be unique and exciting for the extra effort put in.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Plant Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in the setup and operationalisation of our R&D and Commercial scale lines. As our Plant Manager, you will be accountable for managing the operations and production processes of our current facility and the design and fit out of our new Commercial Innovation Hub in Canberra.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our mission to promote sustainability and reduce plastic waste.

**Your key priorities in the next 12-24 months will be to...**
- Lead the design and fit out of our Commercial Innovation Hub in Canberra, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Procure plant and equipment to demonstrate the R&D lines and ensure their completion
- Oversee the construction and commissioning of the R&D lines in the Commercial Innovation Hub, taking full accountability for their operationalisation
- Lead and manage Continuous Improvement processes that inform future implementations
- Manage the operations and production processes of our current facility, ensuring adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that optimise efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness, while minimising waste and maximising output
- Lead and manage the procurement process for feedstock materials and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and optimal pricing while maintaining quality standards
- Develop and implement inventory management systems to ensure adequate levels of materials, supplies, and finished goods are maintained at all times
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures, while also promoting change management
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans as necessary
- Manage and lead a team of operations staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Develop robust reporting, quality, and production disciplines

**Ideally you will...**
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field
- Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Have knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials, and experience in procurement and supply chain management.
- Have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of regulatory requirements for chemical manufacturing operations, and experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
