Our organization is currently seeking a Research Fellow to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating public health interventions targeting infectious diseases in Africa and the Pacific. This involves working closely with economists, epidemiologists, mathematical modelers, and social scientists to conduct cost-effectiveness and budget impact assessments alongside trials and programmatic implementation of mass drug administration regimens.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting cost-effectiveness and budget impact assessments
* Evaluating different financing mechanisms for sustainable investment in neglected tropical diseases (NTDs)
The position also involves working on a Synergy grant from the National Health and Medical Research Council, focusing on controlling or eliminating several NTDs through mass drug administration regimens and other strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, experience undertaking economic evaluations, leading/co-leading economic evaluations alongside trials of health interventions, and strong communication skills.
