Business Development Manager Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our business development efforts, driving growth and expanding our market presence.
This role is not just about sales; it's about being the trusted ambassador of our brand across Tasmania's financial services community. You'll foster meaningful relationships, build strategic partnerships, and drive the growth of our Funds Under Management by connecting advisers, institutions, and investors with our trusted income funds and tailored investment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for fund distribution across key Tasmanian markets
* Strengthen and energize existing referral relationships across adviser groups, law firms, accountants, and institutions
* Build new alliances to expand our retail investor reach
* Represent us at industry events, professional development forums, and partner roadshows
* Collaborate with our investment, lending, and compliance teams to ensure a seamless and compliant client journey
* Deliver outstanding service and insights that keep clients engaged
Your Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in funds management distribution, BDM, or investment advisory roles
* RG146 compliant with a deep understanding of income funds and managed investments
* A track record of exceeding growth targets and building lasting relationships
* A working knowledge of AML/CTF, KYC, and compliance frameworks
* Confidence, credibility, and polish in stakeholder engagement — from one-on-one meetings to boardroom pitches
* Self-drive, initiative, and commercial acumen to thrive in a highly autonomous role
