The Commercial Manager is responsible for all aspects regarding the commercial function for the Future Fuel Project. You will lead commercial and contract negotiations and manage any commercial issues. You will need strong negotiation skills and an ability to motivate and lead by example. You will need extensive demonstrated experience as a Commercial Manger in a construction environment.
**In this role, you will undertake the following duties**
- Manage contractual obligations across our projects and contracts.
- Drive the implementation of commercial policies including assurance of adherence to governance requirements.
- Provide guidance to our team on compliance with contracts.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and liabilities and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Review commercial arrangements and terms contained in proposals and contracts.
- Lead negotiations on commercial issues.
- Prepare and submit of contractual notifications and claims with detailed supporting document.
- Prepare and deliver commercial management plan.
- Prepare commercial sections of proposals in accordance with the business requirements.
- Support Management in the project close out process.
- Providing commercial leadership in the management and resolution of any issues or disputes that arise on the project with any subcontractors and suppliers.

**Education and Skills**
- Degree in Quantity Surveying plus a knowledge in Queensland Law desirable but not essential.
- 10 Years as QS in a construction environment.
- Strong Negotiating skills.
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.
- Must be energetic with a positive can-do attitude.
- Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and use new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
