Teacher of Biology | Bexley | Leading Secondary School | September 2025
Q - Are you a Teacher of Biology looking to join an Outstanding Secondary School in September 2025?
An 'Outstanding' and supportive Secondary School in the Borough of Bexley is seeking a Teacher of Biology for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time and permanent position. The current Biology Head of Department has helped the Biology Department grow significantly. The team includes young, experienced, and Teach First Teachers, along with Biology graduate Teaching Assistants who support attainment across KS3, 4 & 5.
This school has achieved excellent Progress 8 results across KS3, 4 & 5 and fosters a fun, creative learning environment.
Experienced Biology Teachers can take on roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities, and more. Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) will be enrolled in a bespoke ECT induction program and will work alongside a range of Biology teachers.
JOB DESCRIPTION - Teacher of Biology
* Inspiring and motivating students in Biology
* Collaborating with a team of dedicated Biology Teachers
* Opportunities for TLR roles: KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities
* ECTs are welcome: 1:1 mentorship, bespoke induction, training, and more
* Location: Inner London
* Start: September 2025, Full-Time & Permanent
* Salary: MPS1-UPS3 (£38,766 - £60,092) + TLR (depending on experience)
PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Must have UK QTS or be in the process of obtaining it
* Strong academic background: Degree, A Levels, GCSEs
* Meeting the 8 Teaching Standards at a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
* Ability to work effectively within a large team of Biology teachers
* Willingness to accept feedback
