Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Visiting Medical Officer to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
We are looking for a Visiting Medical Officer in Radiology for our BreastScreen Service! The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Radiology in BreastScreen and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the BreastScreen Department and Hospital as required.
The Visiting Medical Officer in BreastScreen (Radiology) will provide holistic, best practice breast imaging, screen reading, assessment and interventional services for women participating in SLHD BreastScreen NSW. They will clinically assess clients and perform imaging guided biopsy and other procedures and will discuss outcomes and results. They will participate in the correlation of assessment findings and in education, audit and quality improvement activities under the direction of the Designated Radiologist.
The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Applicants must have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) with recognised qualifications in Radiology and/or other equivalent specialist recognition, with post-Fellowship training or subspecialty experience in breast imaging.
Position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
