About the Business
Our client is a privately owned, Commercial Real Estate business, with a unique family feel and a personalised service to their client base.
Due to growth in managements, they are looking to fill a role for an Assistant Commercial Property Manager to support the Senior PM's on a mixed portfolio of assets.
About The Role
This is a part-time accounts position, intended to commence next year, providing dedicated support to the Property Management team. The role offers flexibility in working hours hours per week), with the schedule structured to accommodate personal and family commitments.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and directly under Director of Property Management and will support the Property Management team gaining exposure to high-quality commercial property assets and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Trust Accounting & Daily Operations
* Day-to-day trust accounting functions
* Receipt, recording and reconciliation of transactions across trust accounts
* Management of security deposit accounts, including reconciliations and reporting
* Maintenance of accurate financial records
Outgoings & Financial Administration
* Preparation and management of variable outgoings budgets
* Completion of outgoings reconciliations and tenant recoveries
* Assistance with end-of-financial-year outgoings audits
* Liaison with external auditors and preparation of supporting documentation
* Preparation of tenant statements and invoices
Property Management Support
* Accounting and administrative support to the Property Management team
* Assistance with lease administration, rent schedules and adjustments
* Liaison with tenants and property owners on accounts-related matters
* Maintenance of accurate tenant and property files
About You
* Proven experience in commercial property accounts or trust accounting
* Proficiency in Cirrus8 is essential
* Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
* Experience preparing variable outgoings budgets and reconciliations
* Commercial property administration experience highly regarded
* Exposure to sales and leasing administration beneficial but not essential
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
