About The Role
The Program Delivery Coordinator sits within the Creative Melbourne branch and offers an exciting opportunity to help bring Melbourne's streets, laneways and public spaces to life through the delivery of vibrant place-based programs and activations.

This role plays a key part in turning strategy into action by coordinating the delivery of place activation initiatives that create memorable experiences, strengthen local precincts, and contribute to a more lively, inclusive and economically active city.

Working closely with the Place Activation Lead and program teams, you'll help deliver both long-term and tactical activations across Melbourne, including street trading, markets, outdoor dining, kiosks, busking, street gardens and precinct-based initiatives.

A Little More About The Role

* Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of place activation programs and projects, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard
* Support the implementation and improvement of existing and new place activation programs including street trading, markets, kiosks, outdoor dining, busking and street-based activations
* Manage day-to-day project delivery, including timelines, approvals, permits, budgets and stakeholder coordination
* Monitor, evaluate and report on activation outcomes, identifying improvements to strengthen future programs

About You

* Highly organised, with a strong eye for detail and follow-through
* Comfortable working with traders, artists, community groups and government stakeholders
* Confident navigating approvals, permits and operational requirements

What Your Experience Might Look Like

* Experience delivering place activation, placemaking, or public realm programs in a local government, cultural or urban environment
* Demonstrated project and program delivery skills, including managing timelines, budgets, competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
* Strong stakeholder engagement experience, contributing to co-designed projects with businesses, community groups and internal teams
* Experience working with permits, approvals, compliance or statutory requirements to enable successful project delivery
* Experience coordinating EOIs, grants, budgets or program evaluations to support delivery and continuous improvement
