Introduction:Permanent Part Time - 3-days a weekLocated at Anglesea KindergartenSalary dependent on level of experienceDescription:Your new careerSurf Coast Shire Council is currently looking to fill an Early Childhood Teacher position at Anglesea Kindergarten to commence on Wednesday 30th July Term 2025. If you are passionate about the education and care of young children and want to be part of an organisation that values the wellness, safety and education of children aged 0-5 years, we want to hear from you.Early Childhood Teacher - Permanent Part-Time - Anglesea Kindergarten22.5 hours per week, across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday15 hours contact time, plus 7.5 hours non-contact time (negotiable spread across the week)Our Kindergarten Teachers:Ensure the provision of a high quality education and care program that meets the approved learning frameworks and National Quality Standards set by the Victorian Government; andSupport an inclusive and safe environment for children where innovation, creativity, active play and resilience are encouraged.What You Will Bring To The RoleWe are currently looking for an Early Childhood Teacher who is compassionate, dedicated and driven to making a positive impact on the lives of our local community members and their families.To be successful in this role you will have:Knowledge of early childhood development and practiceKnowledge of approved learning frameworks, National Quality Framework and national law and regulations.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsKey selection criteriaMandatory Qualifications, Experience And RequirementsDegree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent (AQECQA approved)A current Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration (VIT)Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate a quality educational program in accordance with approved learning frameworks.Demonstrated knowledge of the National Quality Framework and quality improvement process in children’s services.Demonstrated ability to adopt an innovative, flexible approach to the provision of children’s services.Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and contribute towards the development of a productive team culture.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A current level II First Aid qualification, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis and CPR.Demonstrated understanding of the Child Safe Standards and information sharing/MARAM reforms.Ability to manage risks and identify health and safety issues pertaining to workplace.For more informationMore information on the role accountabilities and the key selection criteria can be found in the position description here.If you believe you have the knowledge, skills and experience to fulfil this role and would like further information, please contact Georgie Shepherd, Team Leader Kindergarten Programs on 5261 0600.How To ApplyApplications are to be in Word or PDF format and should include a:cover letter including your statement addressing the selection criteriacopy of your resume.Please note that only applications with a statement addressing the selection criteria will be considered for this position.Simply complete the application process by clicking the "Apply Now" button and we'll be in touch with you shortly regarding your application.Applications close at 11.59pm Sunday 15 June 2025Surf Coast Shire Council is an equal opportunity and child safe employer.Skills and Experiences:
