Steritech is seeking multiple motivated Casual Plant Operators to join our Narangba team. This hands-on role involves operating forklifts, assisting with warehouse operations, and ensuring the safe and efficient running of our plant and equipment, including the irradiation plant. Shifts will vary based on operational needs, with shorter weekday shifts or full 12-hour shifts to cover other operators' leave or weekend rosters. This role offers flexibility and forms part of our selection pool for potential future full-time opportunities.

Position Overview
This hands-on position requires a skilled forklift operator who can competently and safely fulfil all general warehouse and process working functions. The role also contributes to site cleanliness, and continuous improvement of plant efficiency, safety, and quality outcomes.
Success in this role requires a strong safety mindset, physical capability, sound communication skills in a fast-paced team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate forklifts and irradiation plant equipment safely and efficiently
Load and unload customer products, ensuring quality and accuracy
Assist with warehouse organisation, product sorting, load preparation, and cleaning
Perform maintenance checks and basic fault finding under direction
Complete required logs, booking, and housekeeping records
Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols
Support continuous improvement of safety, quality, and plant efficiency
About You
You are safety-focused, reliable, and physically capable of working in an active, hands-on environment. You have a positive attitude, work well in a team, and can adapt to varying shift patterns. You will also have the following:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
Current forklift licence with proven warehouse or processing experience
Physically fit for manual handling and on-your-feet work
Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport
Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
Preferred
Previous experience in manufacturing, processing, or warehouse environments
Familiarity with warehouse management or inventory systems
Experience with finger-controlled forklift operation
Basic computer and data entry skills
