About The Role
As a Head of Compliance, Business & Private Banking, you will lead the compliance function for our Business & Private banking division. This role is responsible for overseeing non-financial risk management, ensuring the effective application of group-wide risk frameworks, and maintaining strong partnerships across business and support functions. The successful candidate will lead a team that conducts independent assessments, governance validations, and thematic reviews, while managing regulatory engagement and reporting.
With a future-focused mindset, the role will shape the strategic direction of the compliance function, champion innovative approaches, and leverage emerging technologies to modernize Line 2 activities, ensuring alignment with evolving business needs and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities
Lead the Compliance function for the Business & Private banking division, setting strategic direction aligned with group-wide risk frameworks and business goals.
Oversee non-financial risk identification, assessment, and governance validation, ensuring alignment with the NFR Framework and related policies.
Deliver independent risk insights through thematic reviews and deep dives, providing objective challenge to business risk strategies.
Advise senior leaders on compliance policies, emerging risks, and regulatory expectations, while managing regulatory engagement and reporting.
Collaborate across business units, support functions, and Group Risk to embed a strong risk culture and support NFR transformation initiatives.
Lead relationships with internal and external audit teams to ensure efficient and effective audit processes.
Qualifications
Ensures timely completion of deliverables within scope and time.
Ability to independently manage the operational aspects of ongoing tasks and serves as liaison between project teams and senior stakeholders.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, relationship building skills and ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Identifying, analysing and responding to project risks and issues.
An eye for detail and acute problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
Proactive and a self-starter.
