Factory Manager – Hands-On Role in a Family-Owned Chemical Company
You'll oversee the full cycle of production and logistics:
Mixing and decanting of chemical products
Stock control and raw material ordering
Labelling, packaging, and dispatch
Receiving freight and coordinating deliveries
Maintaining workplace health and safety standards
Using and updating our stock control system (Unleashed) and related records
This is a small but growing family business, and the person in this role is the key operator who keeps everything running smoothly.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Is practical, reliable, and happy to get their hands dirty
Has strong attention to detail and a focus on doing things right
Has physical strength (regular lifting of 20-litre drums required)
Thinks in systems and processes – enjoys improving how things work
Works well unsupervised and takes ownership of outcomes
Has integrity and a solid track record in previous workplaces
Communicates well and can relate easily to suppliers and staff
Is comfortable with computers and either experienced with or able to be trained in Unleashed or similar stock control systems
Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or trades is an advantage but not essential – we can train the right person.
