As an Assistant Buyer at Pillow Talk, you'll support our Buyers and Planners with key administrative and coordination tasks including reporting, supplier communication, and catalogue execution.
You'll also take ownership of selected product categories, helping to plan effective ranges that drive sales and profitability. By analysing performance and providing insights throughout the product lifecycle, you'll play an important role in maximising sell-through and supporting overall business growth.
A Bit About You...
Assisting in creating a specific range within the categories appointed from the Buyership, in line with the strategic and creative direction of the businessProviding administrative support for the categories appointed and to the Buyer for all other categories in the Buyership, including order placement, price changes, creation of ad advice, reporting, communication, and catalogue executionSupporting the Buyer and Planner to curate relevant, profitable rangesDriving efficiencies in aspects of the buying process, managing production end to end and being solution focused when challenges ariseEnsuring compliant manufacturing processes are at a high standard which our customers know and love us for Owning your inventory and stock levels, and the pace of product turnoverSetting retail prices, meeting gross profit budgets and ensuring catalogue and store pricing is compliant with ACCC regulations
A Bit About You...
Experience in buying and product development, including management of the merchandise lifecycle from selection, production, quality control, delivery and stock managementStrong commercial and retail acumen with experience in a promotionally driven environmentExcellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skillsAdept with complex systems, Excel, and other Microsoft programsA strong communicator with excellent attention to detail and superb written and oral communication skillsThe ability to build and nurture relationships internally and externallyHighly developed organisational skills and time managementSelf-motivated individual with the ability to energise others
