THE ROLE
We are seeking highly skilled and safety-conscious Mine Site Operators to join our team, working on mining operations in remote and challenging environments. This role is physically demanding and requires a strong background in dewatering activities, including the installation, removal, and maintenance of bore field infrastructure and HDPE pipelines.
Scope of Work
This hands-on role will be a key part of our Winter 2025 campaign, which includes:
* Relocation of pipework and roads
* Establishing access routes for new infrastructure
* Implementing TMP (Traffic Management Plan) changes for new ponds
* Conversion of the current 2-train system to a single-train operation
Additional responsibilities involve:
* Manual handling of HDPE pipework, fittings, bore pump equipment, and related infrastructure
* Safe and efficient installation, removal, and relocation of bore pumps and pipeline systems
* Operation of heavy machinery including IT Loader, Telehandler, Excavator, Franna and Flat Bed Truck
* Poly-welding and chainsaw operation as part of HDPE pipe welding and modification tasks
* Ensuring compliance with mine site safety standards including isolation procedures and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
* Performing labor-intensive tasks in remote and extreme environmental conditions
Key Experience Required
* Minimum of 3 years' industry experience operating machinery in mining and remote field conditions
* Proven experience with safe and efficient installation, removal, and repair of bores and HDPE pipework
* Competency in operating: IT Loader, Telehandler, Excavator and Franna
* Hands-on experience with poly-welding and chainsaw use, including installing, removing, and relocating HDPE pipe and fittings
* Strong understanding of safe mining practices, including use of personal isolation locks and JHA procedures
* Valid Construction White Card
* Tickets for Franna would be highly desirable
