An exciting opportunity is available for experienced, trade-qualified automotive professionals to step into a long-term career pathway with a leading national insurer.

This role suits Panel Beaters, Spray Painters, Motor Mechanics or existing Assessors who are passionate about quality repairs, customer outcomes, and progressing their career beyond the workshop.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for assessing vehicle damage to determine safe, cost-effective repair solutions, while balancing customer experience and business outcomes.

What you’ll be doing

* Assessing vehicle damage and determining appropriate repair methods
* Conducting post-repair inspections to ensure quality standards are met
* Providing expert advice to customers and repairers (phone and face-to-face)
* Preparing accurate reports, estimates and repair cost negotiations
* Working closely with repair partners and internal teams
* Contributing to high standards of safety, quality and customer satisfaction

What you’ll bring

* Trade qualification in the motor body repair industry, such as: Certificate III in Automotive Body Repair Technology, or Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology, or Certificate III in Mechanical Technology
* Minimum 5 years’ post-apprenticeship experience
* Experience with quoting and estimating
* Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset
* Confident computer skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Current Australian driver’s licence
