Job Title: Construction Estimator
Location: Bendigo, Regional Victoria
We are seeking a motivated Construction Estimator with expertise in Cubit software and the ability to undertake Construction Administration tasks.
This role requires a proactive individual who can work autonomously while contributing to a supportive team environment focused on Innovation, Excellence, and Craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates.
* Use Cubit software to develop detailed budgets and project estimates.
* Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn Procore and other construction management systems.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver projects that reflect Innovation, Excellence, and Craftsmanship .
* Assess costs for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractors to optimise project budgets.
* Manage Construction Administration tasks, including:
o Coordinating schedules, project documentation, and permits.
o Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contracts.
o Addressing on-site challenges to maintain momentum and quality.
* Monitor and manage project progress to ensure delivery within established timelines and budgets.
* Provide solutions to mitigate potential delays and cost overruns.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation for estimates and project management.
* Work independently to deliver high-quality results while staying aligned with team goals.
* Stay informed about industry trends, material pricing, and regional regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably in Regional Victoria or similar settings.
* Proficiency in Cubit software for estimation tasks.
* Demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems like Procore and other construction management tools.
* Strong understanding of Construction Administration processes and best practices.
* Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with a meticulous approach to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering collaboration within a team-focused environment .
* Proven track record of managing timelines and budgets successfully.
* Ability to work autonomously and take initiative when needed.
* Knowledge of local construction regulations, standards, and codes.
* Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields (preferred).
