A proud Australian business, our client is a family-owned company who have a strong market-share within the FMCG sector. Due to a team retirement, the business is now seeking to add to its finance function with this hire.
Description
Reporting into the Commercial Manager, this role will lead a team of 6 staff, with key duties including:
* Manage and oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Manage month end function, including reporting and general ledger management.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
* Monitor budgets and forecast financial performance.
* Conduct financial analysis to support decision‑making processes.
* Manage and mentor the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
* Lead process improvement and ERP optimisation.
Profile
The successful candidate will possess a strong background working within a commercial accounting environment. Key traits will also include:
* CA/CPA Qualified.
* People leadership exposure.
* Industry experience across FMCG, retail or wholesale (desired).
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERPs and PowerBI.
