About the Role
We are searching for a Community & Stakeholder Engagement Officer with a minimum of 2 years experience within civil construction. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for career growth within community & stakeholder engagement and work across large civil infrastructure projects. You will be the face of the project as the main point of contact for the community.
Responsibilities
* Manage community engagement system on all activities and project works
* Liaise with different stakeholders (government property owners, local residents & community)
* Main point of contact for the project for all community & stakeholder queries
* Assist with developing community engagement strategies and improve when required
* Work closely with engineers / project manager to ensure delivery of the project is in line with the community engagement plan and adheres to legislative & safety requirements
* Present project updates at community meetings and represent the contractor in a favourable way
* Report community feedback to project teams
* Prepare publications, newsletters, presentations and media information
* Assist with postal drops
* Additional general community engagement support and assistance as required
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within civil construction
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Suite and hold a white card
* Business Development, Employee Orientation, Public Health, Account Management, Conflict Management, Project Management and Relationship Management skills are desired
* Strong initiative, adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
