IT Infrastructure Project Manager An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join a major Australian university, leading critical infrastructure uplift projects across multiple campuses. This role involves the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale technology upgrades, including a greenfield SD-WAN implementation, hardware refreshes, and AV/digital capability uplift in learning and research spaces. You'll bring strong project governance, financial control, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure successful delivery in a complex environment. THE ROLE: This role involves the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale technology upgrades, including a greenfield SD-WAN implementation, hardware refreshes, and AV/digital capability uplift in learning and research spaces. You'll bring strong project governance, financial control, and stakeholder engagement skills to ensure successful delivery in a complex environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of multiple infrastructure projects across campus environments. Manage the implementation of a new SD-WAN solution across distributed sites. Oversee the upgrade of IT capabilities in teaching and lab spaces, including: Comms room cabling and additional data points. Digital signage, video conferencing equipment, and AV installations. Large-scale hardware refresh and deployment projects. Track and manage project scope, budget, schedule, risk, and resources. Collaborate with internal IT teams, academic stakeholders, and external vendors. Ensure minimal disruption to teaching operations and a high level of service delivery. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Proven experience as a Project Manager in IT infrastructure, networks, or hardware deployment. Strong foundational knowledge of project delivery: financials, scheduling, reporting, and risk management. Familiarity with SD-WAN, AV/VC infrastructure, or network cabling projects highly regarded. Confident managing stakeholders in large, distributed environments. Ability to work autonomously while bringing structure and clarity to delivery.
