Due to an internal promotion, our client, a leading manufacturing business, is seeking a detail-driven and organised Purchasing Officer to support its fast-paced production environment. Based at the Gold Coast facility, this role plays a key part in ensuring materials and components are sourced accurately and delivered on time.
About the Role
The Purchasing Officer will manage purchasing activities across the business, liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to maintain alignment with production schedules and overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Process and raise purchase orders, maintain pricing, delivery dates, BOM details and back orders.
* Liaise with suppliers and coordinate stock returns or credits.
* Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and purchasing reports.
* Provide lead-time updates to internal departments and administrative support to the Logistics Manager.
* Assist the broader logistics team as required.
About You
* Minimum 1 year of purchasing or inventory control experience.
* Strong communication, organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or similar MRP systems is advantageous.
* Self-motivated, collaborative and able to manage competing priorities.
