Job Description
We are currently seeking a
Structural Engineer
for our growing team. You will be supported by a highly skilled team of engineering professionals in a culture that supports professional development and career growth.
This position will be based in our Subiaco office, leading local and regional projects across Australia but be based full-time in our Subiaco office.
The Role
As a Project Leader - Structural with Colliers, you will lead projects from initial concepts through to site inspection services as required for structural engineering projects including built form, civic and public infrastructure, land development, and more.
Responsibilities include determining construction methods, materials, and quality standards; drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, and procedures; monitoring design changes; assessing effects on cost; and negotiating variations.
You will need to understand and apply the technical aspects of design utilising Australian Standards and relevant codes of practice.
Providing high-level client service, liaising and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, communicating project updates, and developing innovative solutions to challenges are also key aspects of this role.
Qualifications
You will have:
Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
5 or more years of experience in a structural consulting environment.
Ability to lead projects, manage budgets and schedules to meet client needs.
Proficiency in designing civil engineering schemes in accordance with Australian Standards and codes of practice.
Technical expertise in built form civil, land development, and/or transport projects.
Excellent communication skills, including client liaison and technical writing.
